Orkut Oru Ormakoot is the first Malayalam film that has been released in 2012.It can be said that we have started the year with one of the best Malayalam films of the decade.
The movie has been directed by Vinod who is actually the brother of the legendary film maker Lohithadas.He has done both the direction and screenplay along with Manoj.The film has been produced by Johny Sagariga under the Johny Sagarika group of companies.

The film also showcases the launch of 4 newcomers in the movie.It is interesting that all the 4 newcomers have got some background in the film industry in their family.The 4 newcomers interestingly are:
- Joe- son of director SibiMalayil
- Ben – son of Lalu Alex
- Anu Mohan – son of SobhaMohan , brother of actor Vinu Mohan
- Vishnu – son of photographer Gopalakrishnan
The launch of these newcomers seems to be on grand as the whole film fraternity wants this film to succeed.The sole heroine in the film is being played by Reema Kallingal.

Orkut Oru Ormakoot is all about the friendship of 4 guys who live together in a flat in a real luxury life style. With no values in their life the movie is all about how life takes a turn when they meet the character portrayed by Reema Kallingal.
The story is totally revolved around crystal (Reema Kallingal) and the screenplay and the story line after the first half is extremely good. Reema kallingal comes good with a scintillating performance- thanks to a meaty role she has in the movie.The new actors are a refreshing change from the same actors we have been seeing in Malayalam for many years.
The direction is apt and the screenplay is particularly good.The new actors seems to carry the film forward with ease.The music in the film could have been much better. The cinematography in the movie is lively.The film has introduced a number of new talents to Malayalam and now it is our turn to support them.
Totally Orkut Oru Ormakoot is one hell of a movie to watch.If the old Malayalam films of the 1980s and 1990s make you feel nostalgic, this one movie id highly recommended to you. If you are the modern guy obsessed with the new age gadgets then this one movie will make you think twice about the meaning of the real life.
Watch this movie if you are a malayalee......If you have that good old malayalee still in you.....its your type of film.Enjoy it in theaters........
