Cobra is the short form of the word Kottyam Brothers. The story is in fact about the 2 Kottyam brothers who loves to live in towns like Kottayam, Coimbatore and Kochi where the town name spells like ko. The film will be a commercial entertainer properly enriched with almost all the masala elements for success.

The film has a huge star cast in actors like Lalu Alex, Salim Kumar and Maniyanpilla Raju.

Cobra will be Mammotty's third release in 2012 after the release of films like Shikari and King and Commissioner.
