Unnam review
SHINE KERALA REVIEW RATING = 6.5/10
Life is all about an aim .here it is too high. So goes the wordings that introduces us to this movie. True to those words anyone expected a super hit from Unnam would have aimed too high. The movie gets average respsonses overall.
Asif Ali in Unnam |
Unnam seems to be the remake of Johny Gaddhar which gave actor Neil Nitin Mukesh a much required break in Bollywood. This time in Unam Asif Ali plays the charchter, but he cannot hope for a break with this one film. His acting does not seem to have anything extraordinary. just the usual stuff. But not boring indeed.
One guy who rocked was the villain of Murder 2 Prashanth Narayan who debuted in Malayalam with Unnam. Prashanth played a superb role with enough shades throughout the film with ease.
Sreenivsasn and Nedumudi Venu was average. Lal did his role good. while Rima Kallingal had absolutely nothing to do in the film
Unnam is all about the story of a corrupt cop played by veteran actor Sreenivasan who breaks a deal of stuff to Lal on the basis of 50:50. Lal further brings into play his friends Asif Ali, Nedumudi Venu and Prashanth Narayan. The game plot is well set and everyone hoped the game to go well when one in the group turns a traitor. Who is that? Movie unfolds its suspense around the first half itself which turned out to be good.
Unnam can be a one time watch. The film was good in its camera which is in tune with the thriller the movie promises. But something new could have been added to the film by director Sibi Malayil. Something unique just like what Farhan Akhthar did with Don remake.Such a twist could have made even a guy who have watched Johny Gadhar to watch this one film again.
But now most of the guys who have watched Johny Gaddhar would skip this frame by frame remake.
