The recent invention named the TiVo has provided modern day TV viewers with new and improved ways to stay in touch with their favorite programs. It has brought some new ways to record your favorite TV shows by storing them on a large hard drive by carefully programming it to record your shows at the time of day you want, even without you being present. The TiVo also comes with a few extra features like the ability to freeze the screen during an important scene of a movie or a talk show you like to review it so you may better understand it. If you are a busy person then this device is for you. It will allow you to catch up on your favorite TV shows. The TiVo comes with a complicated remote however. The TiVo also presents some noisy sounds and fluctuations in volume which may prove to be irritating after a while. You can resolve this matter by changing the settings on the remote.
The main action step to take is locating the small grey button placed in the center of the remote. This button is called the mute button. You should press it once. This will cut off the sound. The second step would be going to C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Snap stream/Beyond Media/Sounds on your computer and changing the specific sounds or muting the sounds. The Slow button may be used during commercials if they tend to be too annoying. You can manually add more sounds that you enjoy listening to. The Pause button will act like the slow button but it will not mute menus as well. You can only mute menus by going to the address above on your PC.
There is also a small button colored in green named the Menu button. It is located near the bottom and it is meant for more complicated changes that involve the TiVo and the sounds that it reproduces. You should proceed to find the A/V options and change the balance. If you have purchased a set of stereo speakers then you can change the sound from the speakers. The TiVo will have to be tuned to include your entertainment center, your whole sound system not just the TV or the media player. The TiVo allows you to control the TV and the Stereo from the same remote control.
