For the Pin Perfect Physique Try HIIT

For the Pin Perfect Physique Try HIIT
I know there are many people out there who are trying their best to look their best, with a body shape that seems to have been chiseled from stone. while regular cardio exercise, coupled with a little dieting [remember, if you are exercising, you should not go for extreme effects, as that will result in your body breaking down your muscles for energy], and other forms of exercise, such as strength training, there is nothing that can get rid of your fats like HIIT, which is short for high intensity interval training. This is because HIIT not only burns a lot of calories during the exercise session [which will be at a furious rate, mind you], but also for hours after you are done with the exercise for the day.

So, how is it able to do this?
Well, the simple answer in a nutshell can be that it stimulates the metabolism in your body. But a simple answer is not always the simple one, is it?

Here is how HIIT increases your metabolism:
First, you work your muscles so hard, that they use up all the stored energy in those muscles, and because there are no more calories to burn, it produces lactic acid, and so runs in to an oxygen debt.

Second, when it gets time to recover, it gets rid of that lactic acid, and takes in more oxygen to adjust to that oxygen debt that it had gotten in to. Now, the body burns calories by a process called oxidation. So, the more oxygen that you take in, the more calories are being burnt. This process goes on for hours after an HIIT session.

Third, when the body is taken to the limits of its capacity, the weaker muscles break down. The body than replaces these weak muscles with new, stronger and larger ones. The body needs a lot of energy to make muscles. So, again, it will be burning calories for hours after you are done exercising, and so keeps on burning away the fat and replacing these with strong muscles.

For this reason, HIIT should also be a boon for someone who is looking to gain more muscles.

Now, how to do HIIT?
As you already know, HIIT is a way of doing cardio. HIIT, that is, high intensity interval training, involves a period of time when you push your body to its limits by your intense exercise, sandwiched between periods of time when you will be doing the same item of cardio exercise, but at a slower pace. As you can see, the high intensity part will only be a small interval.

A typical HIIT session can be:
A good warm up, followed by, say, running, at a moderate to fast pace. Then, for about a minute, running as fast as you possibly can. Remember, you should give 110 percent of your efforts in this time, then, again going back to the slower pace for one and a half minutes. This will make one cycle. There should be a minimum of six such cycles, and a maximum of eight.

Looking forward to a slimmer, stronger you.
