De-clutter Your Life

The word clutter is derived from French word ‘clotter,’ which means ‘coagulate.’ That is a very befitting meaning; having too much clutter around does make one feel jammed and stressed. Clutter blocks the energy of your life, it stops you from feeling better, or moving forward. The environment or mental state really plays a big role in productivity and your mood. A confused multitude of things is certainly never going to make you feel good.
There's no reason to be surrounded by things that you don’t need, like, or those that don’t work but with the fast changing scenes of everyday life, different kinds of clutter keep gathering. It takes us some time to realize the negative effects of clutter in our lives. Mental clutter, unfinished tasks, a jam-packed schedule and no time for own self, toxic and negative people sucking the energy out of you, can oftentimes feel very overwhelming.
When we’re at a point that high in clutter, it’s very hard to get rid of all the clutter and organize our life. Even the imagination to start lulls you to stay away but we need to get rid of all the things we don’t need, we don’t use, the ones broken and not beneficial anymore.
There’s no right or wrong way to de-clutter. You can do the de-cluttering exercise in small portion or do it over the weekend n one go. Choose what suits you the best and start right away with the first thing that catches your eye. Also, make a box label it as ‘might need’ and put in the things you are uncertain about. If you don’t need even one of them in coming few months then get rid of that box too. Once you start this exercise of removing physical clutter, you will gain momentum with time and progress will make you feel lighter.
Mental clutter affects our lives greater than physical clutter does. Our lives are way too cluttered by the things we need to do, leaving no time for our own self. Go through your commitment list and drop the commitments that are not useful. Only keep those that benefit you in one way or other. Spend the saved time with your family or yourself.
Organize your routine. Examine your daily activities and make a schedule of them. This will save you a lot of time and those tasks would also get done efficiently as your stress will be reduced many folds by this organization. Get rid of negative and toxic people in your life and clean your mind off the useless thoughts that take most of your time, make you depressed and make you live in past.

Three easy steps to keep your life de-cluttered in future.
  1. Simplicity is the best way to keep the clutter out of your life. Never mindlessly gather stuff you do not need.
  2. You should lean to prioritize. Identify what is important and what needs urgent attention. This will help you plan better and keep the too-many-commitments-and-tasks clutter out of your life.
  3. Add habit of cleaning into your list of daily or weekly chores. De-clutter immediately when you notice it first.
Creating clarity offers a clear mind and will open the chances to your success.
