AMEYA MALAYALAM MOVIE
Ameya is the new Malayalam movie starring Nishan , Gowtham and Ananya in the lead. The movie will be directed by debutant
director Ashraf Ahmed.
Ameya in the true sense of the word
means freedom. The name of the movie is taken from Sanskrit where it means a person with no strings of freedom attached to her.As the name the storyline of the movie is all about a girl who goes on a bus journey
from kozhikode to trivandrum alone.
The story goes deep into the intricacies a girl will have to face in a 12 hour journey. The movie delves into the social situation that is prevalent in kerala now. With a good plot and a refreshing idea, the movie promises to be a road thriller.
ANANYA PLAYS AMEYA
Ananya plays Ameya the girl and it will be
a role she will cherish to play. The movie is a bit heroine oriented
and hence it is a dream for any actress to portray the character. In
fact the performance of Ananya in Engeyum Epodhum , the Tamil movie
had caught the attention of kerala audiences and she was getting rave
reviews for that. So hence it is only logical that the role of Ameya that demanded some sensitivity be handed over to her without much issues.
NISHAAN AND GOWTHAM
The movie further would be a comeback
for Nishaan who was acclaimed for his acting in Rithu.His costar Asif Ali had climbed the ladders of success much faster but he
was not able to bang on the start he got. So he would be looking at Ameya as the perfect film to make a comeback to Malayalam.
Gowtham who debuted in Yakshiyum Njaanum directed by Vinayan was not well received in Malayalam. He later acted in RaghuvinteSwantham Rasiya and Kasarkkode Kadar Bhai. Both did not receive much support from the box office.He too would be looking at Ameya as the launch pad for his career.
In short this movie will have a lot of youngsters vying to debut or comeback to Malayalam film industry.

POOJA FUNCTION
The Pooja function of the movie was held on November 17 2011.Sibi Malayail and B. Unnikrishnan attended the ceremony along with the actors and crew.
The shooting of the movie will start by march due to the busy schedule Ananya had.
Now that the marriage of Ananya is on the cards, Ameya would be one of the last films she would work on.
