This is the shine kerala rating for malayalam movies in the month of January 2012.

1.Orkut Oru Ormakoot

This was the best film released in January. The movie introduced 4 new youngsters and the film was a treat to watch. The quality in direction and script made the film the  best among the lot.Orkut Oru Ormakoot definitely comes up at number 1 in January 2012.

ORKUT ORU ORMAKOOT REVIEW

2.Spanish Masala

A normal but typical Lal jose film. The film which was shot almost entirely in Spain had its moments of perfection. But lacked a perfect climax and a fast paced script.Definitely a movie to be watched.Spanish Masala is at number 2 in January 2012.

SPANISH MASALA REVIEW

3.Casanovva

The movie which came with a lot of tags and which could not do justice to most of these tags.If the film had not been over hyped the film did stand a good chance at the box office.A perfect example of how over hype can kill a film.

But the film was superb in cinematography and fight sequences. The main drawback is the script which had to be a racy one.
Further some sensationalization by some reputed channels had made family audiences to withdraw from watching the film.Casanovva is at number 3 in January 2012.

CASANOVVA REVIEW

4.Kunjaliyan

The much  expected movie of jayasuriya after Beautiful.Kunjaliyan had a comical first half which entertained the audience while the second half started of on a good note ending in a disastrous note.Kunjaliyan is at umber 4 in January 2012.
5.Padmashree Bharath Dr.Saroj Kumar

The charchter which thrilled the audiences in the original Udayananu Thaaram came back through this film. But the film was too harsh and perhaps too direct in criticizing the famous personalities in Mollywood. It was a welcome move by Sreenivasan but he crossed a limit that had to be maintained.
Padmashree Bharath Dr. Saroj Kumar is rated at number 5 in January 2012.

6. Asuravithu

A disappointing film from Asif Ali. Taking into account the fact that Asif Ali was one of the most successful actor in Malayalam in 2011, all the audiences had expected a lot from his film.A.K.Sajan disappointed us again.Asuravithu comes at number 6 in January 2012.
