Malayalam films that released in 2011 were almost 88. Out of these there were many films that could not even get back the production cost. But keeping such truths aside let us try to analyze the most highly grossed films of the year 2011.
As per the box office collection data in 2011 Christian Brothers was the most highly grossed film.
Out of this 10 films , Mohanlal had 2 films in the list.Mamoootty did not have any film that featured in the list. Suresh Gopi was part of Christian Brothers making his number to 1 box office hit.Jayaram had 3 hits to his credit- China Town,Seniors and Makeup Man.Prithviraj had 1 box office hit in Urumi. Dileep was part of china town and Christian brothers which was a huge box office hits.Jayasuriya , though acted in meaningful films like Beautiful and Janapriyan could not create much success at the box office. Young sensation Asif Ali featured in the list with 3 box office hits.The come back hero Kunjacko Boban too had a meaningful year with 3 of his films featuring in the top 10 list.These values are apart from the satellite rights,broadcasting rights ,dubbing rights and the other sources of income for a film.
