Guzaarish is to be released in Peru next month : First time for an Indian movie
Guzaarish the Sanjay Leela Bansali movie which had Hrithik Roshan playing a stalwart role has become the first Indian movie to be released in Peru. This has come as a sense of achievement for Bollywood as new and new avenues of marketing are being searched out. Because wider release means wider market and hence the profit percentage increases. New and new films are following the lead of Guzaarish and are pacing plans to release the film in Latin America. First in the race is the Imran Khan - Kareeena Kapoor movie Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu which have already released a Spanish trailer of the upcoming movie.
Film marketing strategies are evolving and with this new and new markets are being sought by the promoters of each film. France is one county which had never released any Indian movie . Now guzaarish is on talks with the officials from France about the possibility of releasing the movie there. If it occurs it would directly reflect on the bollywood industry as the general budget of a movie can increase and more technically strong films would be made by the makers spending a fortune.
Have anyone realized how and why Rajnikanth is the most highly paid actor in India even though he never acts in any Hindi movie. It is quite impossible to recover the high amount paid to him from the state of Tamilnadu alone. Hence most of his movies are marketed all over south india and recently hit film Enthiran was made in Hindi also with a more sensible casting.But what many does not know is the support Rajnikanth earns for his movies in Japan. In fact Rajnikanth is the only actor who enjoys such a wide fan base in a foreign country.
So marketing our films in foreign countries should go a long way in establishing the superiority of Indian cinema all over the world.Once it starts it can spread like fire and let us hope that the movie Guzaarish is able to sustain that fire for the overall advantage of bollywood.
