IPL 5 2012 BCCI Auction Players and Stakes

IPL 5 2012 AUCTION - List of Players in Auction.

The IPL 5 auction would be held on February 4 2012. Here is the list of players who have entered the fray to get selected. All the 9 teams are provided with a 2 million dollars cap to buy a maximum of 1 foreign player and 2 indian players.

 

Ravindra Jadeja

The most sought after player in the auction.Being an all rounder and an indian player one franchise might decide to spend the full 2million dollars cap on him.

Mahela Jayawardene

He was the captain of kochi tuskers kerala. Now he is being touted as the second most valuable player in the auction as most teams would like to have him in their side.Sides which lacks depth in their middle order could go for him.Chances are for Sahara Pune Warriors and Kolkata Knight Riders.

Brad Hodge

Many dramatic games in last years IPL when he displayed his all round skills taking kochi tuskers to the winning end had raised his profile in the IPL auction.Player with the most experience in twenty 20 around the world , he woulds be a top buy in the auction.

Michael Klinger
 Did not get much chances to display his skills last year and the many chances that he got was wasted.Needs to be seen how high the teams are likely to go for him. Would not be a high buy.

Owais Shah
 this england middle order batsman can stabilize the innings in one go. but as most of the teams will have a set side there would not be much more room for him. if taken will have to sit on the benches.

Brendon McCullum
 This New Zealand opener will not be discarded by any team as most knows what may happen if he is in their opposite side.most likely to be  a high profile buy this season.

Thisara Perera
 A useful all rounder who can double up as a fast bowler. would be a valuable asset. Could come in as replacements or according to strategies.Would be definitely bought with some competition in the auction.

 Steven Smith
 Australia all rounder who could not play a single match last season. Would be looking for a break this season.Would be bought with normal competition in the auction.

John Hastings

Could not play a single match last season.would be looking for a chance to showcase his skills. Would be bought with normal competition in the auction.

Muttiah Muralitharan
 The spin wizard will definitely have takers. But the rush to get him would be low due to his dismal performance last year for kochi tuskers.

Steve O’Keefe
 Needs to be seen if he can find some buyers for himself.

VVS Laxman  

 Needs to be seen if he can find some buyers for himself.

Parthiv Patel 

Will have takers for his ability to build innings and for his value behind the stumps

Ramesh Powar 

 Needs to be seen if he can find some buyers for himself.

RP Singh 

Out of form. But teams are likely to take him . Might have to sit in the benches.

Sreesanth  

The double world cup winner will have takers.it depends on how fast he can get himself back in shape as he may have chances to be in the playing eleven and might also be relegated to the benches.

Vinay Kumar

In good form and will have buyers.Likely to be in the playing eleven

James Anderson

Teams that lacks a good foreign bowler might go for him. useful with the bat too.
