Scott Thompson :New Yahoo CEO
Yahoo has appointed the president of e bays paypal President Scott Thompson as the new CEO of the Internet giant company. Former CEO Carol Bartz was fired by the company in September 2011.Tim Morse was appointed as the interim CEO and now he will go back to his job of being the chief financial officer of yahoo.
Scott Thompson will take charge of yahoo from January 9 2012.

Yahoo have been on a slide down comparing to its competitors Google and Facebook. With such competition the company has been struggling to survive.The profit share of yahoo has been continuously declining and it was a matter of concern for the yahoo officials and shareholders.
Still yahoo seems to have some of the most profitable ventures with them.In fact the yahoo home page is the most visited homepage in the world. Now it is the duty of the new CEO to ensure the revival of yahoo.
Scott Thompson jumped ship from being the president of paypal to the yahoo. In fact paypal have been on a good period these days. They have emerged with enough profit during the last years to buy another paypal. Jumping ship from a growing company to a company that is struggling shows volumes of the man Scott Thomson is. It is clear that he have plans to make the yahoo re-emerge as a phoenix bird.
Chairman of Yahoo Roy Bostock is clearly trying all that is necessary to bring down Google. Can it be achieved..? we will have to wait and see.
