Best Chef Knives

Many are always in the search for the best knife, the one that’s flexible enough to cut almost anything in the kitchen. It that case, a chef’s knife would be the answer. It has a blade between 8-12 inches long, and yes it is capable of doing a great variety of tasks. Although it will usually cost around a hundred dollars, it is worth the price and with proper care it can last a lifetime.
A few samples of the greatest chef knives are the Global 8-Inch Chef Knife, which is produced by a Japanese knife company. Its 8-Inch blades are made of cromova 18 stainless steel and the handle is a metal extension of the blade. Its light weight also helps reduce hand fatigue. Another is the Wusthof Classic 9-Inch Knife, that is produced by a reputable German company. Their knives are heavy and thick, basically a German style. The blades of this knife are made from high carbon stainless steel that can be sharpen easily. Lastly is the Kershaw Shun 8-Inch Chef’s Knife from another Japanese company. Its blades are made with VG-10 Super steel which is composed of carbon, cobalt, silicon, manganese, molybdenum, chromium and vanadium. This super steel is covered with 16 layers of high-carbon stainless steel which gives the blade a nonstick quality. The D-shaped handles are from black pakkawood.
Bottom line is that buying these expensive knives does not only require money, but also the capacity to take care of it.
