Many airlines allow children above five years to travel alone. Most of the parents can’t even think about the possibility to let their children to travel alone especially in our days, but everything can happen so sometimes such situations arise. Therefore we prepare a list with a few things which you have to know and to do before let your child to travel alone. Parents have to determine whether their child is ready to travel alone or not. The airlines have five years old limit but the fact is that each child is different and develops individually so the parents has the last word. We don’t have to pressure the child because the idea to travel alone especially for one little child could be very scared. Maybe you are asking yourself how to understand whether your child is ready or not? You have to know a few basic things: does the child communicate with strangers, is it a direst flight, be sure that the person who will meet your child on the airport will be there on time and also that he or she knows the telephone number of the airline, your phone number and the child who traveled if it has a phone. You have to give accurate information to the air-hostess about the person who will meet your child – the telephone number and external information. It is even better if the child has a photo of the person who will meet it. It is important to explain to your child what you want from him to do during the flight, better if the child has some experience with planes. In this case you will have only to explain to the child what to expect. If this will be the first flight for your child, you have to explain very carefully what is the air plane, everything about the flight, how the airplane at the start gaining more speed and slightly separated from the earth, how after being tied the air hostess could give a juice or a sandwich, and how the air plane landing smooth on the earth. It is very important that your child knows what can expect in order to not frighten. Request a comfortable place for your child when you buying tickets and if it is possible speak with the air- hostess to watch over the child. If the child will have two flights with air-plane changing, be absolutely sure that knows what have to do and which air plane has to take. Dress your child in comfortable clothes for the trip with the most comfortable shoes. If it is possible take your child to his seat on the plane – so you can look the people who will stand beside your child and possibly make the acquaintance between your child and them. In any case the first time will be difficult for the child but the next flight will be real fun for it.
