Healthy Recipe For A Great Meal


If you are a gourmet and you really enjoy food but you still want to keep your waist thin you should try to cook some healthy recipe for dinner or lunch. Not all healthy recipes are bland and tasteless. Actually there are plenty of healthy recipes that are so tasty that you will not be able to stop eating. You can use meat, vegetables, fruits, pasta and noodles to prepare a delicious healthy meal. What defines one meal as healthy or not is not the type of food that you use, but rather the method of the preparation. The amount of fat, sugar and ingredients with high level of cholesterol is another factor that defines one meal as healthy or not.

A healthy recipe includes ingredients that are rich in vitamins, minerals and proteins, as well as balanced amount of fat, carbohydrates and sugar. You should not completely avoid fat and sugar because they play a very big role in our metabolism. To cook a healthy meal you should avoid frying, deep frying and long term processing under high temperatures. When food is prepared under high temperatures for a very long time it looses all the vitamins, and healthy nutrition. Especially avoid deep frying because of the excessive fat that is absorbed during the frying of the food.

A good way to cook meat, poultry and fish is to put it on the grill. Grilling is good for vegetables as well, it gives them that special barbeque taste and you can avoid overcooking. Broiling is another healthy way to cook meat, fish, poultry and vegetables. One good healthy recipe is to mix meat and diverse vegetables and put them together in a baking pan, sprinkle with your favourite herbs and spices, a little bit of vegetable oil and you have a very healthy and extremely delicious meal.

Pressure cooker and stir fry are also very good methods for cooking appetizing and healthy meals. You can cook everything in them, from meet to fish and vegetables. If you don’t have too much experience in cooking you can find lots of websites that offer plenty of healthy recipes. You can choose between diverse sweet, salty, spicy, sweet and sour and many other crazy tastes that can still be healthy. Using different vegetables and fruits will not only make your meal exquisite but also a paradise for the eyes because of the different colours that you can combine. Healthy recipe does not include only fruits and vegetables but grains and cereals. Grains and cereals are rich source in vitamins, minerals, proteins, carbohydrates and fats and oils. You can make delicious and very healthy soups from beans or cereals. Beans, cereals and grain mix very well both with meat and vegetables. Mix cereals and grains with fruits and yoghurt, milk or even ice cream and you will make shakes and deserts that even the best chefs in the world will envy you.
