Life brings us unexpected challenges but that doesn’t mean we are not in control of our lives. As human being we’re given the control of our life and environment. Some of us have lost that control and take some time to distinguish the symptoms and get rid of them, while, some people don’t even realize that they are not the masters of their life but are slaves. Those who realize their state of slavery often deem successful people lucky. They are unable to see that it’s not luck but taking control of their life which makes them successful.
Every human is born with a free, master of his life; open spirit, an innocent mind, and pure heart but in today’s world we’re becoming slaves; slaves of our feelings and notions. Humans are daily bombarded with bad news, violence, financial issues, terrorist threats, and stories for prejudice as if he’s on a battle field. This daily dose of stress and anxiety is bringing us down, while, serenity and peace seem like elusive endowments.
These external factors make the internal battle field of human even more complex. Every human spirit is in a continuous battle, where two masters are contesting for authority and domination. One of them is the truth, the one you are born with. It’s the master of truth which is continuously in battle with inciting part of your, the one which is rebellious; whose gimmicks are greed, ego, vanity and rage. These are the trammels that take you into the darkness.
If you let this rebellious inciting self rule over you, you’re giving yourself away to anguish and agony. This self of yours makes you selfish and then everything around you revolves around yourself only. You might be disappointed because your plans failed or maybe you are offended because some said or did something hurtful to you. Your self becomes the most important for you. This self when dominated will make you see everything with a single lens, and that lens is a lens of selfishness, negativity and manipulation.
You need to give away these thoughts that might one day indulge you in excessive pride or maybe self-pity. You need to consider others and think about them with compassion, love and respect. This will guarantee you peace. It’s the abnegation and defunctness of self which brings peace.
If someone doesn’t have the control of their life, it’s only when they see the obstacles as too great to overcome. They’re in a state of inertia and their problems become their companions throughout the life. Life is a master-slave game and only those succeed who knows the rules, i.e. how to take charge of your life. Take a look at your life and find out if you have the control of your life or if you are a salve.
