Paris – city of love


Known as the City of Love, for many, Paris is the most beautiful and romantic city in the world. Paris is much more than that, it is preferable to visit this city during the summer months when the city is relatively calm. The weather is moderately warm and humid. Paris hotels have a rating of 0 to 4 stars. Four stars means the hotel, which has a restaurant and all rooms have bathroom with shower and tub. In most hotels you have to pay extra for breakfast, which consists bread, croissant, jam, tea or coffee, but some hotels offer a buffet.
                The cathedral “Paris St Mary” stands as a symbol of Paris. In our days the cathedral is largely due to the restoration from the XIX century when architect Eugene Viola Lyodyuk dedicated nearly 20 years of restoration of the statues. He adds 90-meter bell tower covered with beautiful floral patterns, and replaces the sculptures on the west façade and south lateral vessel while retaining the finest works of niches. The western facade is adorned with three gates, which depicts the Virgin Mary, Doomsday and St. Anne. Portals are lined with two fine towers. Among the sculptural works in the cathedral and ancient carvings on the barrier for people, the statue of Louis XIV and the Virgin known as the "Hunchback of Notre Dame”. The side chapels have religious paintings of Charles Lebrun.  The treasures of the Cathedral include the crown of thorns, a nail and a piece of the Holy Cross of Sainte-Chapelle. They can be seen only on Good Friday, when are exported to the procession of worshipers. Among other treasures are tunic of St. Louis, a piece of his jaw and one of his ribs.                 Square "Chatelet" is a key crossroads in Paris. In 1808 Napoleon made a fountain here. Is lifted and column to commemorate Napoleon's victories. In 1862 at both ends of the square were built two identical Theatres - Theatre Chatelet and the City Theatre. Although now is a museum, the Louvre was built as a fortress to protect Paris from foreign invaders.
Louvre is revived and above ground and below ground. Under the museum there is a whole underground city complex of shops, restaurants and parking. Louvre's collections are divided into seven departments.
Whoever comes first in Paris, did not want to miss the mythical boulevard Champs Elysees, the famous “Arc de Triomphe”, the brightness of lights Sq Concord, which represent the French sense of grandeur. "Champs Elysees" is divided into two parts - a beautiful avenue with gardens and the commercial area.
 Eiffel tower is the emblem of Paris. It was built for World Expo in 1889 for its construction were used 15 000 metal parts. From the Eiffel Tower there is a magnificent view, which in clear days extends to 73 km. In Paris there is no other place like Montmartre - provincial picturesque with lovely homes, winding streets, meandering down to Pigalle.
                In Paris, time seems frozen in love. You can see Paris in the best way if you walk slowly. Till you walk, look up the gardens on the roofs, pilasters, caryatids and mosaics. Benches, statues, fountains, lanterns, alleys and abundance of flowers are features of many beautiful Paris parks and gardens. Paris deserves its name City of Lights. He is one of the best travel destinations, as it can offer everything the traveler dreams. This unique city attracts all kinds of people - from young couples who live their romance in the city of love to businessmen who found in Paris elegance of bygone times.
