Random Acts of Kindness


These days negative energy of terrorism is prevalent. As soon as you turn on the news, these negative energies and the thoughts to destruction catch you. In today’s world we focus more on the negatives than the positives going around. Random acts of kindness happen every day. We are so caught up in our lives that we fail to notice them. We fail to realize how abundantly these acts of kindness happen every day.
Do you want to be a part of these acts of kindness? Especially, the one giving them away. By choosing to give away such acts, you are going to touch people’s lives with kindness. Random acts of kindness don't require a huge amount of effort. The act can be as little as acknowledging a stranger as you pass by him; smile and say hello. These little gestures can make the world a better place. There’s no limit for these act of kindness, they don’t just stop at a gesture as small as smile.
Some common acts of kindness are: Reaching out to someone having a bad day, smiling at him. Saying something nice, giving someone a sincere compliment and doing little things for people. Being kind for a stranger and giving generously to a cause or a homeless needy person. Initiating a new friendship, giving someone a shoulder to cry on, and providing emotional support to the one feeling down.
It is a personal social responsibility to carry out these acts of kindness on daily basis. Do you know someone who deserves more than what he is getting? Is someone feeling worthless? Send an anonymous card and let him know his worth. Deliver a basket of baked muffins or cookies to the old folk’s or children’s home.
Never underestimate the impact of a single act of kindness. We may have offered our hospitality to an angel without even knowing that. The feeling of satisfaction, peace and joy that comes from doing good things for others can only be experienced by those who do. Offering and doing acts of kindness is truly a win-win situation. You feel good for helping someone, while, the person you are being kind to benefits through your help. Act of kindness can be therapeutic as well. If you feel worthless or suffer from low-self esteem, giving away an act of kindness can make you feel better about yourself.
Kindness is contagious and the world has become a good place through your act of kindness that you keep giving away. They say, what goes around is sure to come around, but it is important that you don’t carry out the acts of kindness with some sort of expectation in your mind; the acts should be selfless.
Too often we center on negative and random act of kindness are one way to focus on the positive going around in the world. These acts are like sowing the seeds of kindness around the community, which is later going to help a whole lot of people.
