Monte Carlo – place for prince and princess


Monaco is a constitutional monarchy in southern Europe. The city state is located on the French Riviera between the Mediterranean and France. Monaco is the second smallest country in the world after the Vatican. Principality is the most populous country on Earth with a population of 32,410 people living in an area of 1.95 sq. km The country has no national cuisine. In all restaurants and cafes are serving French, Italian and other dishes from European cuisine. The main attraction of the country - Monte Carlo Casino is open every day (except 1 May) from noon until dawn. To find yourself inside you must be over 21 years, must be dressed decently and have personal identification documents. Citizens of Monaco are prohibited from visiting the casino. Casino Monte Carlo, and most hotels and restaurants in the country belong to the state-owned and all income goes into their budget. In Monte Carlo operates one of the most powerful and organized police system in the world. The policemen check the car if it looks suspicious. Security cameras are placed at each corner. The level of crime is zero. Monaco is very expensive country. Up to 75% of all hotels are 4 stars. Hotel room average cost 50-60 euro, a simple lunch in a restaurant costs 25 to 100 euro. Making bargain is not accepted. Supermarket chains and the universal "Fonvey Shopping Center” offer slightly lower prices, but also remains higher than neighboring France and Italy. Bars and restaurants are open until 2am. Discos, bars and restaurants begin night work from 23pm till morning. In Monte Carlo are focused nightlife and gambling. Center of the region is Casino de Monte Carlo - the first casino in Europe and one of the oldest in the world. During the economic crisis in the late XIX century, incomes from gambling practically saved the country from bankruptcy. The complex is converted repeatedly. At Cabaret Casino is also one of the first institutions of this kind in the world, Opera Theatre and Hall Garn considered the most beautiful casino. The casino is covered by terraces, which were placed busts of Massenet, Berlioz and Diaghilev and the entire complex is surrounded by magnificent parks.
            No less interesting are the National Museum of Dolls, Church of St. Charles and Japanese garden occupying 7,000 square meters, planned and built according to the traditions of landscape parks in Japan. Other places which must be seen in Monte Carlo are Maritime Museum with a vast collection of replicas of famous ships, the Zoo and the largest stadium in the Principality Louis II - a giant sport complex with 20,000 seats and an underground pool. But the majority of tourists do not come here because of the historical monuments, but for unremitting nightlife, which gives numerous restaurants, discos, night clubs - there are hundreds and each one has its own unique image. The most famous restaurant is the Cote d'Azur was "Louis XV". Widely popular are La Cabaret du Casino, La Belle Époque (the oldest restaurant in Monaco), Les Fell Ryes in the building of the Monte Carlo Grand Hotel, "Tiffany", "Salle Empire" and many others.
