Useful pastimes


Pastimes are required for every individual. Apart from the daily routine life, one requires pastimes, especially useful pastimes to while away the time wisely. God has given this precious life to fill them with happiness and one way to kill boredom and enjoy the best of life is by developing useful pastimes like pottery, drawing, carving sculptors, reading books, stamp collection, watching movies, collecting key chains, chatting, surfing in net, collecting beautiful pictures from newspapers, glass painting, learning new recipes, scheduling small trips and so on. Other useful pastimes including appreciating nature like keeping pets or aquarium or gardening or horticulture. Some useful pastimes can also involve the functioning of the brain like solving jigsaw puzzles, Sudoku playing while other useful pastimes can include physical exercise like playing chess, tennis or other passionate sport activities can be ones  pastime. Thus gone are the days when pastime was considered as a waste of time and energy. A pastime can be converted into a useful professional job that either aids us in getting money or to derive satisfaction.
Breakfast
Breaking the fast is the literal meaning of breakfast. Many people do not realize the importance of the breakfast and skipping breakfast has now become the trend of the day. Simple breakfasts like sandwich, fruit salads, mixed cereals like oats, pastas, or noodles can be taken or mixed vegetable salads can be taken with few biscuits, cakes with juice. Scientifically, glucose is essential for the functioning of mind which can be provided by the first breakfast that one takes. When one skips breakfast, he becomes ravenous in the afternoon and insulin response increases leading to fat storage and obesity.  When one skips breakfast, there is great loss of vitamins as breakfast cereals are fortified with lot of minerals and vitamins. Research clearly shows that people who take breakfast work better in most cases than people who skip. Good thoughts lead to good actions and good actions lead to habit. When we adapt ourselves to eat breakfast everyday, it becomes a habitual one and a good practice.
