The Yacht’s name Baia comes from the Italian port of Baia. The Romanic bay was part of the Western Ancient Rome, but now much of it lies under the waters of Naples Bay because of the volcanic activity. Many of the surrounding settlements date back to the Iulius Caesar and Nero. In the past, the port of Baia was called “the city of the luxury and wharf of sin”
The Italian brand for high-speed luxury yacht Baia was established in 1961 in Naples. Originally yard made small wooden ships for cruises along the coast. The yard was dealing with redevelopment and repair of ships till 1971. Then Kapasso Family became the owner of the yard. The family gave its 27 meter yacht to be repair, but the repairing was delayed because of a strike gripped Italy. Then Kapasso solve the problem by simply bought the shipyard. According to some old stories the ships in these days were used mainly for smuggle with cigarettes, so the ships had to be bigger and faster than the police one. For more protection, the hull of the ships was dark in color, which later became the hallmark of Baia. Many famous people are proud owner of Baia’s yachts – Ivana Trump, Demy Moore, Bruce Willis, Roman Abramonich, Roberto Mancini, Maradona and many others. Baia expands their horizons and now there are offices in Miami, Los Angeles, Santo Domingo, England, Greece, Spain, Turkey, Norway, Dubai and Odessa. In all these countries Baia ensure specialist support, spare parts and a constant and direct contact with the shipyard.

When a customer ordered a yacht in color “Ferrari red”, the market sales manager Mario just picked up the phone and ordered the paint straight from the factory of Ferrari!
The price of these “treasures” ranged from 500 000 to over 9 million euro as it depends on the client’s wishes on the interior, color, model and technical parameters. The elegant yachts of Baia take part and won prizes in all major yacht competitions and exhibitions.
