On 2002, Indian government has created bureau of energy efficiency which focus on energy efficiency and conservation.
Japan: in 1973 Japan faced oil crises which made energy conservation an important issue, so it develops sustainable energy. Japan imports oil fuel, it has energy conservation centre which promotes energy efficiency.
